Acushnet Company is recruiting for 25 to 30 available positions right now. Acushnet Company is looking for machine operators for their production department. There are second shifts starting at $17.68 an hour, and third shifts starting at $18.20 an hour. There are only second and third shifts available, so one would need the flexibility to work those shifts.

The preferred candidate should have at least two good years of work history and successful completion of a work readiness assessment, based in math and English and administered by the MassHire Greater New Bedford Career Center. A potential candidate must be able to work long periods of time on his or her feet attending to equipment needs, be able to keep up with machine pace for production demands, and lift weights up to 40 pounds. Candidate must also be able to use a computer to enter data and generate reports, pass a drug screen and background check, and have a current working email address to apply because all communication is done via email.
