If you are a donut fanatic but haven't ventured out to try New England Homemade Donuts, beginning September 1 they are coming to the SouthCoast.

New England Homemade Donuts has two locations in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and you have been able to score some of their yummy treats at the Somerset Country Store in Somerset.

Owner Raksmeyleakena Dul said that a move to Fall River makes sense since New England Homemade Donuts already services nearby Somerset. Plus, she mentioned the population of Fall River is larger compared to Portsmouth.

She also mentioned that they have found that lots of people drive from Fall River and Tiverton to purchase their donuts, so the demand is there.

New England Homemade Donuts announced on its Facebook this week that it would be closing one Portsmouth location but opening up in downtown Fall River at 138 South Main Street.

I have yet to try any of the sweet treats from New England Homemade Donuts so I may have to make the drive to Rhode Island to get a taste of what's to come.

Doors open on September 1 and I have a feeling there might be a line down the street to get in and try all the sweet treats this place has to offer.

Have you tried them? How are they? What donuts should I get?
