We're finally seeing some spring weather here on the SouthCoast. We're all thinking warm thoughts as the snow continues to melt away this March. Hoping against hope that this is the real deal and not just "fool's spring," we're looking forward to events that get us outside breathing the fresh air. One happy thought is the 6th Annual Herring Run Festival coming up in April.

The Middleboro Tourism Committee hosts the event on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 at Oliver Mill Park on Nemasket St. and Rte. 44. Complete with vendors, food, games, exhibits, demonstrations, music, a beer garden, and of course, lots of herring.

Join in the fun with free admission and free parking at the Town Hall and at the Council on Aging, located at 558 Plymouth Street. The KOA offers paid parking for $5 to support 'Care Camps' and there is also $5 Paid Parking at 99 North Street. Busses will be stopping at the Oliver Estate for free tours.
