5 Things We Learned Form Taylor Swift’s 1989 Documentary
Well, thanks to Taylor's just-released 1989 documentary that dropped on Apple Music Sunday morning, we get a little glimpse behind-the-scenes of her amazing tour.
According to E! Online, the two-hour film directed by Jonas Akerlund documents her Nov. 28 show in Sydney, Australia at the AZN Stadium, and also answers so many questions we have had since the highly successful tour.
There is always something to be learned from Taylor Swift, but here are five things we learned from the new documentary.
1. Finding surprise guest wasn't hard for T.Swift :
"Getting people to say yes to come out onstage was a lot easier than I thought," the country-turned-pop singer says in the film. "It really showed me how many artists out there love what they do so much that they are willing to get up and play because it's fun."
2. The one guest she was worried about was Justin Timberlake:
"Of course I invited him out," she recalls. "But I did not expect him to say yes." Well, of course he did! And the film takes a look at some of their behind-the-scenes moments before taking the stage to perform his hit, "Mirrors."
3. The tour was all about having fun with her friends:
"I feel like this tour and this album and this phase of my life have been about inclusivity. Doing it on my own, but doing it with friends," she says. "It's incredible how many performers are so gracious with their time. It made a lot of people happy."
4. Her favorite song to perform during the show was "Blank Space:
Swift called the song one of the biggest highlights from each show, explaining how she and her team hoped to give the audience a similar theatrical vibe as the music video.
5. Her plans post-1989 World Tour includes lots of carbs:
"I want to learn CPR. Maybe a mixology class. I want to learn how to, like, make a good drink," she says as the credits roll. "Maybe I'll just eat carbs and nothing else for the next couple of months. I don't have to wear any crop tops."
