It's not all too common you hear about an earthquake on the East Coast, I think the last one was in Virginia, but Maine felt a 4.6 earthquake tonight.

According to USA Today,

A moderately strong earthquake rattled southern Maine this evening and was felt in Vermont, New Hampshire and the Boston area.

They say that we have earthquakes all the time, but there are too small on the Richter scale to feel the shaking. I can't imagine going through a huge earthquake or a schedule of quakes and tremors that the West Coast feels.
