Thousands came out to celebrate Kids Day at the 102nd Annual Feast of the Blessed Sacrament!

The weather called for rain and thunderstorms, but instead e were blessed with sunshine and warm weather! Thousands of people and families enjoyed fun activities, face painting, free food for the kids and cotton candy and so much more! The event went from 12-6 PM and The "Cool Banana Wig" Band started the day off with some fun interaction with the kids!

Following there Cool Banana Wig Band was New Bedford's very own "Zukes"! In connection with the Zeiterion Theatre, the "Zukes" are a local orchestra made up of ukuleles, vocals and fun popular music for all to enjoy!

Praising us with his presence as the King of Rock and Roll took the stage following "The Zukes", was Elvis Presley! Well, it was the "Ricky Andrade Elvis Tribute" band, but for anyone who was in attendance to see Ricky perform will tell you 100% that if you closed your eyes, you felt like Young Elvis was back from the dead! Ricky wooed the audience with his immaculate vocal impressions and fancy bedazzled white Elvis suit. Lets not forget about the slicked comb-over hair blowout that Ricky rocked! Between him and the band, the duo rocked the stage and kept the crowd entertained for well over an hour!

Finally, last but not least, was a highly unique boy band from New York that took the stage by storm and made the crowd go crazy! If I didn't know any better, i could have sworn I was at a Backstreet Boys concert by the way the crowd reacted to the way these 4 young gentlemen performed! So what makes them unique? Well, for one... they go by the name "EXP" which is short for Experiment. Second of all, they are a K-Pop group, which is short for Korean Pop and they are the only Non-Korean K-Pop group in the entire world! These guys were extremely talented and their harmonies were absolutely clutch! A bit unorthodox and very different for the Portuguese Feast, but all was revived when one of the band members by the name of Frankie graced the audience with his local approach to the feast and performed a stunning Portuguese song and dance with his two beautiful back-up dancers. Truly a sight to see and a performance you didn't want to miss!
