Wicked Is Gonna Be Popular at PPAC

How popular is Wicked? It is the fourth-longest-running show in Broadway history, and has earned nearly $2 billion on Broadway alone, making it second to only The Lion King. Not bad for a spinoff story!

Spoiler-Free Synopsis

Without getting into spoilers, if you've never seen the play it delves into the question of what is actually "good" and what is actually "wicked." It shows a compassionate side of the future Wicked Witch of the West. Instead of being evil to the core, she is, in fact, very misunderstood and is forced to deal with prejudices and struggles.

By all accounts, the play is packed with fun, sing-a-long songs. The sets are intricate. The story gives us a chance to look behind the curtain to sneak a peek at the origin story of the Wizard of Oz.
