A pig who thinks he's a kid is looking for a good home.

If you've ever told yourself that one day you were going to adopt an indoor pig for a pet, I have very good news.

Straight out of Warwick, Rhode Island is a household pot-bellied pig that goes by the name of Crackle. Crackle is up for adoption and is looking for his forever home to be loved and cuddled.

He is a young six-month-old baby who is not only house-broken but also crate-trained. Just like a dog, he loves to go on walks with his harness leash and his favorite foods are strawberries, veggies, bananas, Cheerios, pig feed and treats.

Need a good snuggle buddy to curl up on the couch with a good movie or Netflix original? Crackle will be there to hold close during the scary parts.

Weighing in around 40 pounds, he's easy to pick up but if he squeals, don't be alarmed, this is completely normal. Crackle, like most dogs, is very food motivated and loves playing with toys and curling up in piles of warm blankets. If he finds that he's being ignored, Crackle will whine until you give him belly rubs.

He's perfect if you have a fenced-in yard and is ready to be adopted:

  • Spayed/Neutered: Yes
  • Vaccinations: Up to date as of February 2019
  • Heart-worm: N/A
  • Microchipped: Yes
  • Good with other Dogs? Yes, but must be watched at all times until the dog is comfortable with Crackle, for Crackle will not win the fight against the dog.
  • Good with other Cats? Yes, he loves being around cats.
  • Good with Kids: Crackle has been exposed and introduced to kids who are aged eight years and up. Although he loves children, he has yet to be placed around infants or toddlers and in the case he may accidentally play nibble.

If you're interested in taking Crackle home, there is an adoption donation of $350 to help with his current shelter PAWS New England.

In the words of the film Babe, "that'll do, pig, that'll do."
