Who Needs Pilot Pete When You Could Have Peanut?
I do not watch The Bachelor, but I have a few friends that are absolutely obsessed with the show. They've been loyal fans since the beginning and even they agree that this Facebook post from the Fairhaven Animal Shelter is worth more than a rose.
"Pilot Pete may have given out all his roses this week, but Peanut has his final rose to hand out. Peanut (the bachelor) is a year and a half old. He absolutely loves children, loves playing tag, and he loves toys and bacon strip treats. Peanut has a ton of energy as he is still just a young pup. He has never been around cats and is good with smaller dogs, but we have been told he isn’t the biggest fan of bigger dogs. We always do a meet a greet with other dogs in the home though to make sure they all get along, big or not. So who knows, maybe his soul mate might just be a big dog. We are just taking applications right now, we never adopt on first-come-first-served. It will be the best match for Peanut. Someone he can cuddle with on the couch on Monday nights at 8 pm to watch The Bachelor Pete and all the drama, but also someone that Peanut can run around with. Let’s find Peanut his perfect match!"
This adorable photo of Peanut was shared on Friday, February 7 and it has been shared over 260 times as of this posting. The shelter has received such an overwhelming response that it has had to stop taking applications on him because they currently have so many to go through and try to find his forever home.
Update: "We have found his forever family in the great stack of applications we have. Now to try to get more creative the next time we need pictures of the next animal looking for a home!"
