What to Expect at the 2020 FUN 107 Wedding Show

Our Annual Wedding Show at White's of Westport is coming up this Sunday, January 26. We've got all the info on what you'll need to know to help put this show to work for you.

Pre-Plan:  Before you go, make a checklist of the business you are hoping to connect with, questions you may have and other items that will help cut your planning down post-show. In addition to your checklist, make yourself address labels that have all of your contact information and wedding date listed. You can also add your wedding location if you already know it. This cuts down on any time spent filling out slips of paper at each individual booth. Lastly, make sure you have a calendar/app that is updated and ready to go should you need to book any follow-up appointments on the spot.

Doors: New this year, we have a VIP hour ahead of the regularly scheduled event. Doors open at 11 a.m. for those with VIP tickets. Everyone else will be allowed entry after 12 pm. Couples and their guests are invited to the event to meet more than 50 area wedding experts from officiants to honeymoon planners. Tickets are available online for $5 until Friday, January 24. After that, admission at the door is $7 per person, cash only.

Guests: Engaged couples are encouraged to bring friends. This is the easiest way to bounce ideas off of someone and avoid making any impulsive decisions. Plus, if you are prone to get overwhelmed by crowds, a friend can help make sure you've checked off all of your boxes before its time to leave.

Exhibitors: We've got more than 50 businesses on-site for our event. These businesses are experts in everything from settings to playlists to food for any event style. Use your labels to leave behind your information or enter any vendor contests that may be going on.

How to register for the Trip Giveaway: If you've pre-registered online, you are automatically entered into our trip giveaway. Not sure if your registration came through? We'll have a complete list of pre-registered guest names at the door. We will hold 2 drawings; one exclusively for pre-registered guests and one for day-of guests and pre-registered guests.

We will also be giving away free wedding bands and a thousand dollar cash prize. Make sure you check out the FUN 107 booth to register for those big prizes.

What to do Once You're Done: If you've had your fill of all things wedding, take all you've collected and head home or grab a bite to eat with your crew. After a few days, review all of the information you've collected to figure out what vendors are a great match for you. Most vendors offer special wedding show discounts so doing your homework could save you some money. We all know how expensive weddings can be, so take advantage of all the discounts that are available to you.

Friendly tip: We know it's cold outside, but it can get pretty warm inside the event space. Bring a coat, but consider leaving it in the car so you're not stuck walking around with it the whole time you're there. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
