What does Westport Have to Offer? A Lot!

Lees Wine and Spirits located on Main Rd in Westport and there, you will find the largest selection of beer and wines in the area.  What's great is, you don't have to wander around in the wine isles trying to figure out which wine to get for that party or small gathering you are going to.  Lees Wine and Spirits has both a Wine Lady and a Beer Lady and they are both experts in the field of beer and wine!

Heather Flemming has been in the business of wine for more than 20 years and knows everything there is to know about wines.  I wish I could hire her to "wine shop" with me, because I am clueless when it comes to the reds!  To me, a red is a red.  I think though, that serious red wine drinkers would disagree :)  Heather has traveled to some of the best wine vineyards in the world to learn as much as she could about wine.  She's been to California, Oregon, Chile, Italy (OMG, I'm jealous), France and Spain too!  These amazing wine educational trips have given her the knowledge and expertise she now shares with the customers at Lees Wine and Spirits.

Becky Turner is Lees Wine and Spirits beer expert and buyer.  She's the gal who gets to pick which brews Lees will be stocking, and man, that sounds like a fun job!   Becky makes sure that all of the brands of beer sold at Lees Wine and Spirits are local from Mass and Rhode Island.  There's no room for "old beer", it's just not their thing. Becky likes to keep the store stocked with the best craft beers found close to home.  She also manages the "Scotch Room" which has become bourbon and rye-centric because those are two hot categories in the last couple of years. Becky was able to go to Kentucky for "work" to visit a few distilleries and get some hands on knowledge on the bourbon and rye scene, so she knows her stuff; she's the gal to see at Lees Wine and Spirits.

Westport is a small town with a lot to offer.  The stores, shops and restaurants on Main Rd and close to it, are the most authentic you'll find.  So while you are enjoying the quaint and beautiful atmosphere that Westport has to offer this Fall, be sure to stop into a local favorite, Lees Wine and Spirits.  And don't forget, Fall Fest is Saturday, October 8th from 10a-4p.  This festival is a ton of fun, you don't want to miss it!
