New Bedford Dog Is a Social Butterfly & Needs a Home [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]
Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk animals.
There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast waiting to be adopted, and it is our mission to unite as many animals as we can with the perfect forever families.
With the help of local shelters, we share their stories. Every Wednesday, we give the spotlight to one loveable animal on the SouthCoast, and this week, we head to New Bedford where a social butterfly is ready to play.
Meet Rex Manning. Rex is a 1-year-old, 50-pound Retriever Mix at Lighthouse Animal Shelter in New Bedford. He is the most social dog at the shelter and has made many friends there, both canine and human.
"Rex is a social butterfly and loves attention from every person he meets," the shelter said. "He just wants to be around people as much as he can, to play and get scratches and pets. When he’s out in the play yard with another dog, he loves to play, play, play!"

Rex is still working on his manners, but he is a sweet and attentive dog who is excited to learn new things. He always does very well in his crate and rarely barks.
Does Rex sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Lighthouse Animal Shelter and schedule a play date today.
Rex Manning cannot wait to meet you.
