New Bedford Hound Toy-Obsessed and Hopes to Make a Family Happy

There is nothing like the unconditional love of a pet, and if you are looking to bring that love into your home for the first time, consider pet adoption.

Wednesdays are all about the animals on Fun 107 and finding them the ideal forever home. Thanks to local shelters, we share the stories of so many great animals, and this week on Wet Nose Wednesday, we head to New Bedford where a hound dog is waiting to show you his toys.

Meet Denver. He's outgoing, well-natured and 46 pounds of pure love, living at Lighthouse Animal Shelter in New Bedford.

"He is a fun, energetic dog who is toy-obsessed but he also knows it's important to slow down and spend some time getting attention from the volunteers," the shelter said.

When walking on a leash, Denver gets very excited, but eventually settles in and walks nicely.

He was previously fostered in a home with young children (4.5 and 7 years old) and looks forward to being best buddies with anyone in the home.

But be prepared for him to steal all of their toys.

He has lived his life as a foster pet, but Denver hopes to find a family of his own. He certainly has a lot of love to give.
