Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! This day has officially gone to the dogs.

Hundreds of animals are up for adoption on the SouthCoast, and thanks to the help of local shelters, we share their stories every week.

Every Wednesday, one animal gets the spotlight. This week, we head to Fall River where a sweet 1-year-old lab can't wait to play with you.

Meet Diamond, a 1-year-old lab/pointer mix at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River.

She's under 50 pounds, which is a good thing because she is convinced that she is a lap dog.

"She's an affectionate sweetheart that wants to be all over you and is definitely a Stage 5 clinger," the shelter said.

Diamond is great with other dogs, cats and kids. She previously lived with cats and a toddler, so she is used to it.

"She's an excitable wiggle worm when it comes to other dogs, so she definitely needs someone that can match her energy, the shelter said.

Diamond is a goofy girl that will keep you laughing at all times. Get ready for all the cuddles and hours of playtime.

Does Diamond sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Forever Paws Animal Shelter online and click 'adopt' to download the application. Email the application to fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to 508-677-9175.
