Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's find a forever home for another loving animal.

If you are considering a pet to bring home to your family, consider adoption. There are hundreds of animals on the SouhtCoast waiting for forever homes, and thanks to our local shelters, they have a fighting chance.

This week, we give the spotlight to a loveable cat that needs a place to call home.

Meet Bonnet. Bonnet is 4 years old and currently under the care of Moby Kit Rescue. She was surrendered to the foster-based shelter by her owner, who had too many cats to manage.

Bonnet is an absolute love bug.

"She loves to snuggle up on the couch with you, has a very calm demeanor, and wants to be part of the group," said the shelter.

She doesn't have kitten energy anymore, she is very calm and gentle, and seems to be happiest when she has a lap or couch to be cozy on.

Bonnet is quite the fighter. She needed emergency surgery to remove an obstruction in her stomach, which required 10-inches of her colon to be removed.

"As a result, she has difficulty absorbing nutrients and requires a limited ingredient diet," said the shelter. "She needs B12 injections monthly, which are easy to administer and cost only $6 per bottle, lasting about a year."

Bonnet needs a caring family and she is ready to love you forever.
