Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Another week, another beautiful animal to talk about.

There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast waiting to find a place to call home. Thankfully, we are blessed to have amazing shelters in the area, but sadly, they are overflowing with animals.

Every Wednesday, we aim to unite one animal with one loving family, and this week, we give the spotlight to a New Bedford dog that aims to be your best friend.

Meet Blair, a 60-pound, 3-year-old terrier that is always the life of the party. When he is not playing with his toys, you'll find Blair searching for the closest person to snuggle with.

"His main focus is getting as close to you as possible for some well-deserved butt scratches," Lighthouse Animal Shelter in New Bedford said.

Blair loves to go on adventures and finish off the day with a nap. He has traveled a long way from North Carolina, and while crate time isn't his favorite time, he does very well in a home setting with his foster family.

Blair is a social dog that loves to make friends, and according to the shelter in North Carolina, he's indifferent to cats.

Does Blair sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Lighthouse Animal Shelter online, like it on Facebook, and schedule a playdate ASAP.

Blair cannot wait to meet you.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
