How many times have you and your family wanted to go on vacation, only to be stopped by the thought of all the chaos of airport security?

Now, it is rolling out a new program called "Families on the Fly."

This will be rolled out within the next few weeks at a handful of airports across the country, including T.F. Green International Airport in Warwick.

What Is the Families on the Fly Program?

This new program promises a dedicated family lane, discounted TSA Precheck fees, and dedicated TSA Precheck lanes for service members and their families. A part of this program that includes the military has already been rolled out at select airports located near military bases.

“DHS and TSA are committed to making the airport security experience as smooth and stress-free as possible for traveling families,” said Senior Official Performing the Duties of Deputy TSA Administrator Adam Stahl.

Will More Airports Join the Program?

This program will eventually be rolled out to many more airports in the coming months and will offer discounted TSA Precheck rates for families with $15 off. The hope is that we get the family lane at all United States airports.

Does this change make you want to book a family vacation? What are other reasons besides money that may be stopping you from booking your next family vacation?
