WAREHAM (WBSM) — The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that the body of a woman found behind a Wareham pharmacy last week is that of a missing Middleboro woman.

The D.A.’s Office confirmed today that the body discovered Friday has been identified as Amy Nadolny. The 41-year-old, a lifelong Middleboro resident, was last seen and heard from on September 7 in Wareham, according to the missing posters. She was reportedly last seen at the Narrows Crossing restaurant.

Body Located Behind Wareham CVS

While conducting a search of the area, Massachusetts State Police located a female body in a wooded area along the train tracks behind the CVS Pharmacy at 419 Main Street in Wareham at about 10 a.m. on September 19.

It was later confirmed that the woman was Nadolny. Her body was found less than a mile from her last known location.

Ongoing Investigation

The D.A.’s Office said that the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner accepted jurisdiction and will determine the manner and cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing by Massachusetts State Police, Middleboro Police and Wareham Police.

The Victims in the New Bedford Highway Murders

The New Bedford highway murders took place in 1988, with the bodies discovered into 1989. The killer is confirmed to have killed nine women and suspected of murdering at least two more. Although there were at least three different men considered as suspects by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the murders remain unsolved and the families of the victims are still searching for closure.
