Two people have been charged in separate incidents of drug use while driving in New Bedford.

New Bedford Police say a Middleboro man was found overdosing in his car Sunday afternoon near the fire station on Pleasant Street. 24-year-old Joseph Delsignore was revived with Narcan and transported to St. Luke's Hospital for evaluation. Police found a hypodermic needle in his lap, along with two knives in the car.

Police are also charging a Westport woman who was found unresponsive in her running car on West Rodney French Boulevard Sunday. 42-year-old Alison Gillespie was also revived with Narcan and taken to the hospital. Police found needles and a spoon with drug residue in her car.

Both Gillespie and Delsignore are charged with operating under the influence of drugs.
