Trump Claims Endorsement From Brady and Belichick, Questions Arise
Donald Trump says Tom Brady and Coach Bill Belichick have endorsed him in his bid for president.
Trump claimed he spoke with New England's star quarterback over the phone Monday night, saying Brady told him he voted for Trump.
However, earlier that morning, Brady appeared on "The Kirk & Callahan Show" on WEEI Sports Radio, saying he was not part of the nearly 25% of Massachusetts voters that cast an early ballot.
K&C: People have already voted. Are you one of those people?
Brady: No, I haven't voted yet. So, I'm going to...
K&C: Are you gonna tomorrow?
Brady: I'm going to today or tomorrow.
Early voting ended Friday in Massachusetts. The Boston Herald reports that a town official in Brookline says Tom Brady voted by absentee ballot, but did not say when the four-time Superbowl champion returned it.
Trump also read from a letter he claimed came from Bill Belichick, that congratulated him on a well-run campaign and wished him positive results on Tuesday.
