With great power comes great responsibility, and Tom Holland understood the assignment.

The Spider-Man superstar is currently spending time in Boston with his longtime girlfriend Zendaya as she films her upcoming movie. While he was in the neighborhood, he stopped by the Campus School at Boston College to visit with the students and staff, and personally deliver a grant of $25K.

The Campus School at Boston College Gets a Visit from Spider-Man

The Campus School at Boston College is a publicly funded, private, special education day school on the Boston College campus that educates students ages 3 to 22 with extensive support needs, including complex medical needs.

On Friday, the students were treated to a rather unique day at school when Holland dropped by.

“He couldn’t have been more down to earth,” said Jennifer Miller, the Campus School’s marketing manager to Alix Hackett of University Communications. “He was fully, fully engaged with our students—they were the priority---but he was so friendly towards the staff as well.”

The movie star made sure to stop into every single classroom, and he even took part in a music therapy session.

Miller described Holland’s time with the children as “beautiful.”

“He was just so natural and so caring,” she said.

Tom Holland Donates to the Campus School

Holland is not just Spider-Man. He is also a philanthropist. In 2017, Holland’s family established The Brother’s Trust, a nonprofit that “shines a light on and helps charities who struggle to be heard in the noisy not-for-profit sector.”

“Because we are run by volunteers, almost all the money (98.5%) raised by TBT can be given out in grants,” said The Brother’s Trust.

One such grant was given to the Campus School in the form of $25K, which allows the school to afford new adaptive equipment and technology.

Superstar status, a beautiful girlfriend, a loving family, and a big heart. It sounds like Spider-Man needs to be a little more like Tom Holland.
