There was an adorable baby shower held at a local nursing home for a very good reason.

In an effort to fight dementia among residents, the Royal Taber House Nursing Home in New Bedford held a baby shower event using dolls, with some seriously cute results.

The staff at the Royal Taber House put up both blue and pink baby shower decorations, played games and had snacks with residents and even made goodies bags for those at the event.

Residents were able to "adopt" baby dolls, complete with adoption certificate, and staff say the emotions from those who participated were overwhelming.

From the photos shared on Facebook it looks like a good time was had by all and those trays of chocolates—amazing!

This was definitely a fancier event than my actual baby shower and the party seemed like a great way for residents to spend the afternoon while doing good for them, too.
