I had never heard of the Lion’s Gate Portal before this week but apparently, it’s not a new concept. Local psychic, Stephanie Burke informs us that this phenomenon dates back to the days of the ancient Egyptians and was known to other ancient civilizations as well.

“During this time, the heliacal rising of the star Sirius, and the constellation Orion aligning with the pyramids of Giza was a sign and symbol of abundance all around,” Burke said. “Add in the numerology of the date 8/8, the sun being in its home sign of Leo, and the new moon this year falling on 8/8, and being in the sign of Leo as well, is a perfect recipe for the magic to happen!”

What does the Lion’s Gate Portal Mean For You?

The portal has technically been open since Monday, July 26, and will close on Thursday, August 12. However, the event is most powerful on Sunday, August 8. Burke claims that this phenomenon coupled with the energy of this particular new moon brings an opportunity for luck, change, prosperity, abundance, transformation, and manifesting. The planets are aligned at this time, even those in retrograde, to help you build, break down, and rebuild what it is that you’re missing.

How to Prepare for the 2021 Lion’s Gate Portal

Put aside some quiet time for yourself and think about where you are in life at the moment. Ask yourself a few important questions:

  1. Where do you want to be?
  2. What are you lacking that you wish you had?
  3. What do you truly want to bring into your life?
  4. What would make your life better?
  5. What would make you happy?

On August 8, sit down and make a positive list of wishes for yourself. Write it down on a piece of paper and burn it safely under the new moon.

"No matter where you are in life, what you’re experiencing or going through right now, know that positivity and good things can happen for you," Burke said. "An occurrence like this can give it a huge boost. Just believe and ask. We could all use a little luck right now. Don’t be afraid to dream big! People have been doing this for thousands of years, it’s time you gave it a try."
