The Flu Is Running Rampant In Massachusetts And Many Other Places

One year ago there were 21 reported cases of the flu here in Massachusetts.  This year there are 1400 cases reported so far, and the experts say it will get worse.  

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say 29 states are reporting high levels of influenza-like-illness, and another 9 states reporting moderate levels.  They also say that even some of those who have had flu shots are reporting symptons, however not as severe as those we have not.

The Centers for Disease Control is advising that anyone who has not yet received a fly shot to get one as soon as possible.  The also say that if you do have the flu, to start taking antiviral medications immediately.
