The Donut Factory’s Eating Contest Recap!

So the official grand opening of The Donut Factory in New Bedford went down yesterday and to celebrate, they had a donut eating contest (you're lucky I forgot to mark that one on my calendar 😉).

The winner of the contest was Dartmouth's Amanda Silva - Congrats to you!

The competition was eating as many donuts as you could in 10 minutes, it was initially a 3-way tie after those contestants each ate 3 and 1/2 donuts. So after picking names out of a hat, her name was drawn as the winner, but all involved in the tie won a golden ticket which can be used to enter into the drawing for a trip to Disney!

Although being open for some time now, the shop (who makes amazing donuts I may add), never had a grand opening so it went down yesterday thanks to the amazing staff who put it together and cut the ribbon.
