Some people believed it was the full moon that happened in September, but the real Harvest Moon will be in the sky Thursday.  According to MSN.com, the full moon that appears closest to the Beginning of Fall (September 22nd), is the actual Harvest Moon.

If the skies remain clear, you'll see the huge moon rising in the east in the early evening.  The Fall Harvest moon is also referred to as the "Blood Moon," "Hunter's Moon," and even as the "Dying Grass Moon."  But whatever it's called, it will look quite spectacular in the sky Thursday evening.
