As a kid, there's nothing better in the world than the freedom of riding a bicycle.

I miss the good old days when I could simply take my bike to my friend's house rather than bothering my parents for a ride. That's what being a kid was all about and now there's a great local program that's perfect for the children of the SouthCoast.

Learn To Ride With You is a free program by the Youth Opportunities Unlimited organization in New Bedford that helps teach kids how to ride a bike. This program will take place at 244 Brock Ave in New Bedford during the week of April Vacation and lasts three days, from the 18th through the 20th. Each day will begin at 9 AM and end at 1 PM.

Youth Opportunities Unlimited is a nonprofit organization in New Bedford, MA. Their goal is to make a safe space for children to learn and express themselves freely saying, “When children are safe, they have fun and when they have fun, they naturally learn!

Every experience at Y.O.U. is led by youth curiosity, cultivating empowerment and a love of learning!” Y.O.U was founded in 2004 and was originally named Trips for Kids. They provide support, encouragement, and guidance, making a kind and nurturing environment in that children can grow and prosper.

At the end of the day, every child around the world deserves the chance to learn how to ride a bike and this program can make that happen.
