It was just a couple of years ago we heard the news that Taylor Swift's mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She obviously got the best care possible and was able to get treated and was given the all-clear from doctors. Then in early 2019, she got diagnosed with her second round of breast cancer.

She was going through chemo, and that's a hard enough thing for a person to go through," Swift told Variety this week. "While she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumor."

Taylor went on to say that the symptoms of what someone goes through with brain cancer are so different and it's hard to watch a loved one endure them.

This news coming out just as Taylor released a politically-driven new song called "Only the Young," along with a Netflix documentary announcement. The song's lyrics really dig deep into the heartache that Taylor has witnessed by young people's hopes and dreams getting stolen by so many careless acts.

I have a feeling it's going to be a tough year for Taylor, and regardless of any of the drama surrounding her and her music rights, I think we can set that aside and send all the good vibes to her and her mother.

Taylor does have a handful of tour dates around the world this year. I'm thinking as much as she wants to be able to tour, we may want to stay aware of her postponing these shows if her mother's health doesn't get better in the coming months.

I'm hoping that Taylor's mom comes to the Boston area for her treatment. After all, we have some of the world's best doctors right in our state.

Do you think Taylor should hold off on going on tour this year?
