Taylor Swift Has New Rhode Island Neighbor

Someone shelled out serious dough to live next door to Taylor Swift and they set a record doing it too.

Last May we told you about the stunning waterfront Watch Hill mansion for sale next door to Taylor Swift (Swift's is the massive white one on the rocky hill).

And five months later it has been sold for a record setting $17.6 million.

A shocking price tag for sure, but not as steep as the $17.76 Taylor bought hers for back in 2013.

So why the record you ask. Well, this sale price was the highest recorded for a single-family home by the Rhode Island Multiple Listing Service.

Swift bought hers in a private sale for cash (yeah, cash!).

But the record-setting home is pretty amazing too.

The 1903 classic shingle-style home boasts nine bedrooms and 8.1 baths and nearly 360 degrees of water views.

You get water views from the kitchen, study and living room (just to name a few).

And a view of your neighbor Taylor Swift's house from the den from the looks of it.

Personally I'm a huge fan of the ceiling design in what I think is the library and the super cool wall/door in this hallway.

Clearly this house has some amazing features that were worth the $17.6 million price tag to it's new owners.

No word of course on who snatched this one-of-a-kind property up, but they are going to be sharing beachfront with a lady who knows how to throw a killer 4th of July party.
