TAUNTON (WBSM) — Two teens were arrested on warrants after a man was shot in Taunton Tuesday evening.
According to Taunton Police Chief Edward Walsh, officers were dispatched to the area of Meadow Street and Martel Avenue at around 7:07 p.m. on June 9 for a report of gunshots.
Gunfire Erupts on Martel Avenue
In the area of 9 Martel Avenue, officers located a vehicle with front-end damage, as well as what appeared to be bullet holes. Numerous bullet casings were also found in the area.
Walsh said “a gray car was reported to have pulled into the area and fired gunshots at a group of individuals standing in the area of 9 Martel Ave. before driving away from the area.”
Victim Found Nearby, Rushed to Hospital
Police, fire and EMS were also dispatched to another home in the same neighborhood for a report of a gunshot victim. The 27-year-old man was found with an apparent gunshot wound to his left arm. He was treated at the scene and then taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton and is expected to recover.

Suspect Vehicle Tracking Leads to Warrants and Arrests
Police also received reports that a vehicle matching the description of the one involved in the shooting was seen near Cooper Square and Monica Street. That led police to a nearby home on East Broadway, and through investigation, they learned of two individuals that had outstanding warrants.
Isaiah Bien-Aime, 18, of Taunton, was arrested on multiple warrants related to separate incidents in Fall River. Giovanni Carvalho, 19, of Providence, RI, was arrested on a warrant for motor vehicle violations related to an incident in Taunton.
Walsh said the investigation into the shooting remains active and ongoing.
