BOSTON (WBSM) — A Taunton man has been identified as the person killed by falling scaffolding from construction in Boston last Friday.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said Barry P. Medeiros, 43, of Taunton died on August 9 when he fell from construction scaffolding at 219 Tremont Street in Boston.

That is the address of the Emerson Cutler Majestic Theater.

The D.A.’s Office said the incident remains under investigation.

A day later, the front facade of a vacant business at 425 Washington Street in Boston’s Downtown Crossing collapsed, WCVB reported. A person was struck in that incident and received injuries that were not life-threatening.

Back on July 15, a window exploded from the Verizon building above TD Garden and shattered to Causeway Street below. No one was injured in that incident.
