Fairhaven’s Supreme Perfection Studios Hosting Fun ‘Cell-ebrity Jail & Bail’ Fundraiser
The mission of Supreme Perfection Studios off Route 6 in Fairhaven is to create a one-stop performing arts studio where every student, regardless of ability, can learn and have fun while nurturing a love and respect for the arts.
Folks at Supreme Perfection are asking for your help so they can meet their goals for every student.
Acting and Modeling Instructor Lori Truehart visited Townsquare Sunday to talk about the nonprofit studio and its "Cell-ebrity Jail & Bail" fundraiser coming up on October 10.
A Mission to Help Every Student Shine
"The arts are a wonderful way for children to express themselves," Truehart said. "We started our nonprofit in 2016 so we could give kids an opportunity to learn and have fun, and give corporations and the community a chance to get involved."
Supreme Perfection has funded members to attend over 30 regional and state competitions, as well as many national events including traveling to Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Hollywood, California. Members have won dance, vocal, modeling, and pageant titles, but Truehart understands that not everyone can become a star.
"We do a lot of local events including holiday shows, and I share every opportunity to make sure all the kids get the spotlight on them," she said.
Costumes and traveling to pageants and competitions can be costly, but donations and fundraisers such as "Cell-ebrity Jail & Bail" can help offset some of those costs.
What Is the Cell-ebrity Jail & Bail?
The Jail & Bail works this way: local celebrities, community leaders, and familiar personalities will be “locked up” in a fun, staged jail. Each participant will be calling friends and family to raise their “bail” through pledges and donations in order to be released.
How Donations Help Local Performers
All proceeds will help fund performing arts opportunities, competitions, scholarships at Supreme Perfection, and community outreach platforms like Project SAFE for DNA advocacy and family reunification.
So if you get a call from a friend on Oct. 10 (or any other day) asking you to help him or her "make bail" to benefit the Supreme Perfection Studios, try to help them out!
