Stars of ‘The Office’ Grab Burgers and a Game in Boston
They starred in "The Office" together and both grew up in Massachusetts, so it isn't all that surprising that Mindy Kaling and BJ Novak were spotted together in Boston this week.
Kaling is from Cambridge and Novak from Newton, but they were hanging out in Boston on Wednesday night grabbing burgers and taking in a Red Sox game.
Both actors are big fans of all Boston sports, so when I first heard they were in town I assumed it was to see the Celtics in the NBA Finals. Foolish me didn't realize that was series was starting on the West Coast (not a big basketball fan, myself) and it was actually baseball action that brought the pair to town.
The Red Sox shared photos of what they called "Scranton’s biggest power couple" posing together and with Wally at Wednesday night's game against the Cincinnati Reds, which lucky for them was a resounding win at 7-1.
Clearly, they know where to eat before a game because Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage in Cambridge shared photos and video of the pair dining there. Novak also defaced a sign in the restaurant, but for a very good reason.
As you can see below, Mr. Bartley's has had a sign for years touting that both Kaling and Novak had eaten at their restaurant, but never together. That changed this week, so Novak had to adjust the sign.
Of course, the rumors that these two longtime friends have rekindled a romantic relationship are spreading like wildfire. Whether they are or aren't "together," they were certainly having a good time in their home state this week.
