Taking photos with the Easter Bunny at the Dartmouth Mall has been a tradition for local families for generations. We still have photos of my twin sister and I dressed up in matching spring dresses, each of us perfectly placed on each knee of that oversized rabbit. In all honesty, I don’t think I was a fan of the Easter Bunny. As a kid, he kind of freaked me out up close and personal. I know I can’t be the only one. Still, we carry on the tradition of dressing up our own children in pretty pastels and taking them to the Dartmouth Mall for this annual photo opportunity.

Unfortunately, it looks like the SouthCoast will not have the chance to participate in this tradition in 2021. According to Beth Zager, the Marketing Director at Dartmouth Mall, the mall will not be hosting the Easter Bunny for photos this year.

“We are not having a bunny this year,” Zager said. “Instead, we are working with K. Garcia Productions to offer spring photos.”

Kelsey Garcia Witzgall is a local photographer who has partnered with the mall to provide mini sessions for families who would still like to take part in some form of spring portraits this year.

“I’m very excited to safely take photos of the South Coast community," Garcia Witgall said. "It will be a fun way to celebrate Easter this year.

Weekend time slots are available starting on Sunday, March 21. The mini sessions will also be available on Saturday, March 27, and Sunday, March 28. Appointments are required. Please click HERE for more information.
