2020 was not meant to be the year of epic concerts and living it up this summer at music festivals. Am I totally bummed? Yes. But I figured that all of the canceled shows would find their way back to us next year and we could party twice as hard to make up for it. There’s just one problem.

Kenny Chesney was supposed to headline two back-to-back shows for the Country Music Festival at Gillette in Foxboro on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29. Florida Georgia Line was meant to open up for Chesney and my fiancé and I have not missed a single show in the Boston area. We look forward to them coming around every year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these shows were postponed until 2021. It was just released that the new dates will be Friday, August 27, and Saturday, August 28.

We are getting married on Friday, August 27, so that is not an option. However, would it be the craziest thing in the world to go to Country Fest the day after the wedding? We don’t plan on leaving for our honeymoon right away. Greg’s parents plan on hosting a little afternoon gathering for the out-of-town family members, but we’ll be free by 6 or 7 pm.
