Providence Welcoming ‘SNL’ Comics to the Comedy Connection
This month, Saturday Night Live fans in and around Rhode Island won't have to travel far or stay up late to see some of their favorite cast members.
Two comics from the show are making their way to East Providence for back-to-back weekends at the long-standing Comedy Connection.
This 240-seat venue has hosted some of the biggest names in comedy since opening in 1989 and it is bringing two new famous faces our way soon.

Clearly there won't be new SNL episodes for a few weekends in mid-March, because that's when both Sarah Sherman and Andrew Dismukes have weekend gigs booked in Rhode Island.

Sherman will arrive first, doing five sets at the Comedy Connection from March 13-15. Her earlier shows at 7 p.m. are all sold out according to the club's website, but there were still seats for her 9:30 p.m. show on Friday night as this story was written.
Sherman's career seems to be on the rise, with her SNL duties, hosting Human vs Hamster on MAX and even co-starring with Adam Sandler in the Netflix film, You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah!
If you miss her sets, try again March 21 or 22 when Andrew Dismukes performs four shows in two nights at the Comedy Connection.
Both Friday and Saturday Dismukes has 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. sets scheduled, with no sellouts yet.

Dismukes started at SNL as a writer before joining the cast three years ago. He also recently joined the cast of Amazon's The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy alongside Maya Rudolph, Kieran Culkin, Keke Palmer and Stephanie Hsu.
Clearly both comics are on the rise and you can see them perform close to home this month at the Comedy Connection.
