To honor Carlin Lynch's commitment to area students, his family and friends have established the Carlin Lynch Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts.

"Carlin spent his life championing the greater good and creating opportunities for those in need. We are humbled and grateful by the outpouring of support following his passing, and look forward to continuing his legacy of service.” – The Lynch Family

While Carlin was best known by many as a legendary Dartmouth football coach and athletic director, his dedication extended far beyond the football field. He worked to create opportunities for those in need and to better the circumstances for all students and teachers. His commitment to service, extraordinary kindness, and generosity of spirit was an inspiration to all who met him.

“Carlin was all about lifting people up – helping people grow and reach their full potential.” Said Dr. Tom Kelly, former Dartmouth Superintendent, and Holy Cross class of 1967. "He had a gift for reaching people.”

The scholarship will be available to a Dartmouth High School graduate who has demonstrated extraordinary resilience, academic achievement, and athletic performance. For more information on the Carlin Lynch Scholarship Fund, please visit carlinlynch.com.

My entire family went to Dartmouth High School and my father knew Mr. Lynch well. He was a kind man who always looked out for his students and his players. I was pleased to see that they names the Dartmouth High School gymnasium after him, but this is extra special. This is a wonderful way to honor his memory.
