Samantha Johnson’s Heartfelt Performance in New Bedford [WATCH]

Samantha Johnson took to the stage Friday night at New Bedford's Pier 3.

After being named on of the semifinalists on "America's Got Talent" a couple of weeks ago, New Bedford resident Samantha Johnson performed at Pier 3 as part of the Summer Sound Series.

The crowd of what appeared to be nearly 1,000 people welcomed Samantha with open arms and cheered her on as she performed a short selection of songs and delivered a heartfelt speech thanking those who supported her the most and the entire New Bedford community for supporting her through her journey.

The crowd favorite of the night was Samantha's raw and heartfelt rendition of Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down".
