Cathy Jones is a physician's assistant from Rochester. When she was contacted by a producer to record a quick Zoom interview, she didn't think twice. The producer told her that they were shooting a documentary about women who are on the front lines in the battle against COVID-19.

When the producer got her on the Zoom call, she asked Cathy to state her name, her hometown, and what she did for a living. The next thing she knew, Cathy was Zoom-bombed by none other than the host of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon had some fun with Cathy and four other healthcare workers for a few minutes, and then the surprises started. Jimmy pulled out a Samsung prize pack jammed with new phones, headphones, and all of the latest gadgets that Samsung has to offer.

The surprise, however, was yet to come. Fallon told Cathy and the other four healthcare workers they will each receive a check for $25,000 courtesy of Samsung. Cathy and her family could use the money. She is expecting her second baby in a matter of a couple of weeks.

This is the second time in two weeks that a local woman has been spotlighted on national television. The Today show on NBC stopped by Irene Beauregard's New Bedford home last week to wish her a happy 90th birthday. Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb surprised Irene with a Red Sox jersey (with the number 90 on the back, of course) and tickets to Fenway to see the Sox when baseball returns.
