Rochester Country Fair to Offer Sensory Sensitive Activities
If you want to take your little one to the fair but they need a little bit of a quieter atmosphere, the Rochester Country Fair has a special time slot for you.
It can be so hard for parents of kids with certain sensory challenges to take them to the places that all kids love to go, like the zoo or the fair. Sometimes all the commotion, sounds, and crowds can be overwhelming even for children who don't have sensory issues. The Rochester Country Fair announced they are proud to bring back "Quiet Time" this year.
On August 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., they are offering special activities and events with the local boy scout troops that are specially designed for children who have special sensory needs.
There will be tons of events at the fair, other than Quiet Time, like a beer and wine garden, mini golf, frog derby, hot dog eating contest, petting zoo, live entertainment, and mad science shows.
