The Rochester County Fair reaches its 16th year of annual celebrations, and this year will be nothing short of the past celebrations.

With a sterling reputation for family fun and a "prehistoric theme" to boot, the Rochester County Fair is bound to be yet another success for the town.

What was originally started in the year 1999 as a way to welcome in the 21st century, the fair has since become an annual celebration for families and friends.

Sponsors of the fair include local businesses and donations from citizens of the area including volunteers to run the fair itself.

The fair also offers two High Education Awards to an Old Rochester Regional senior and an Old Colony Regional Technical Vocational High School senior to go towards college.

Located at 65 Pine street the fair will be happening from August 13-16 and the hours include: Thursday and friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Great food, events and a pie baking contest can all be expected at the fair this year and attendees are encouraged to come!
