Rhode Island’s New Shake Shack Will Feature A Drive Thru
It's a new addition for the Shake Shack chain and it's coming to Rhode Island.
Yet another Shake Shack location is getting ready to open in the Ocean State and this one will feature a drive thru.
Shake Shack only started offering drive thrus as of 2023 and to date have about two dozens locations that feature them.
Now another one is in the works in Warwick.
The site of the former TGI Fridays on Centerville Road in Warwick has been under construction for quite some time. The old restaurant was demolished and a new building went up in its place, with half of the new property built specifically for a veterinary clinic.

The other half was a bit of a mystery, until Shake Shack's signature green signage starting going up around the exterior.
The news was definitely exciting for locals who maybe haven't yet made it to the Thayer Street shop in Providence or the Garden City location in Cranston.
But the news might be even more exciting for some, because this Shake Shack is going to feature a drive thru.
Shake Shacks with a drive thru are still pretty rare, considering the company only starting adding them in 2023. The way they handle drive thrus is pretty rare too.
Unlike other fast-food chains, Shake Shack has a dedicated cooking facility for the drive-thru business. This potentially makes the drive-thru experience faster and easier to customize (hopefully without mistakes).

The concept won Shake Shake a 2023 Innovation by Design Award in the Hospitality category and will likely gain them even more fans in Rhode Island when the Warwick location finally opens.
No word on when construction will be complete, but job postings are out there for positions at the new store so hopefully we're all getting our Crispy Crinkle Cuts and Hand-Spun Shakes from our cars soon.
