"We all we got. We all we need." However, if you add pizza in there, then I'd say you really have all you need.

One Rhode Island pizza artist is leaning into the New England Patriots' fandom by creating an edible masterpiece: a portrait of Drake Maye created entirely out of pizza toppings.

It's something Eric Palmieri, known on social media as Eric John Pizza Art, has specialized in for years. His eye-catching, mouthwatering creations are edible tributes to legendary moments, actors and more.

Ingredients Used in the Drake Maye Pizza

To create just the right look (while also making it edible), Palmieri selects choice ingredients. When making the Drake Maye pizza, Palmieri used:

  • Chicken
  • Olives
  • Pepper/cheese blend
  • Spirulina/cheese blend (to create the blue color)
  • Eggplant
  • Red bell peppers
  • Grated cheese
  • Black pepper powder
  • American cheese
  • Salt

He's completed hundreds of pies, working for hours to complete each masterpiece.

Creating Drake "Pizza" Maye

The Drake Maye pizza took a whopping five hours to finish as Palmieri strategically placing each ingredient on the saucy backdrop.

"It’s a bit of a high wire act, because it’s not something I can set aside and work on or fix later if I screw something up," Palmieri said.

The hours-long sessions are all captured for Palmieri and other pizza enthusiasts to enjoy.

"I use a camera so I have a bird's eye-view of the pizza as I’m working on it that I can view on my laptop, and then I just have a picture I’m going by and I freehand it from there," Palmieri said. "I don’t really sketch it out before. I have a decent idea in my head of how I'm going to approach it, though."

Ordering Pizza Art

Whether it's a pop culture icon, Hollywood legend or superstar athlete, Eric Palmieri can do it all.

"People can order pies locally for pick up by emailing me and prices vary widely," Palmieri said.

If you want one, don't wait! "I have limited slots available," he said.
