Red Sox Duck Boat Parade Happening Wednesday
Looking for another excuse to take Halloween off from work? The World Series Champion Boston Red Sox are planning their duck boat parade that day too.
Offices around Boston will presumably be empty this Wednesday, with trick-or-treating plans for that night and now parade plans during the day.
The newly crowned World Champions will be boarding the classic Boston duck boats and sharing their win with the masses on Halloween morning.
The current plan is for the parade to kick off at 11 a.m. from Fenway Park and the duck boats to make their way to Staniford Street for the parade end.
At this time there is no plan for a rally at City Hall Plaza.
Halloween can be a crazy day as it is, so I imagine adding the parade to the mix is going to mean one busy Boston. And lots of people in costume on the streets.
Kids will likely be out of school, parents out of work and Mother Nature is even on board with a seasonably warm day expected.
Boston's Mayor Marty Walsh along with Boston police are encouraging people to use public transit to get to the parade route. MBTA is going to be providing extra service to and from the city that day as well.
Authorities also remind parade goers that alcohol will not be tolerated and there is no public drinking.
