Police Investigating Two Deaths In South End Of New Bedford [UPDATE]

New Bedford Police Chief David Provencher said  police are investigating two deaths on Brock Avenue in the south end of New Bedford with some reports indicating that it is a shooting and is being called a double homidice.

The victims were a man and a woman.

No additional information is available at this time, and all questions asked were referred to the District Attorney Sam Sutter.

UPDATE: 

The victims have been identified as Shariff Goode and Mavia Marenjo. Goode’s aunt says she can’t believe the murder-suicide theory.

The deaths are being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.
