Patriots Trade Back In 2nd Round With Lions
The New England Patriots were on the clock with the first of their two second round picks at number 43 overall, though they never made the pick.
Instead, the Pats traded with former defensive coordinator and new Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia.
In exchange for the 43rd pick, the Pats received the 51st overall selection and a fourth round pick, number 117 overall.
So, the Pats move down nine spots in the second round and gain an extra mid-round pick they previously lacked. They now have seven picks remaining in the draft, including two tonight.
