Patriots Keep Dealing, Trade 51st Pick To Bears
After trading out of the 43rd overall selection, the first of two second round picks they had heading into the night, the New England Patriots kept on with their wheeling and dealing ways, trading the pick they acquired in the earlier deal, number 51 overall, to the Chicago Bears.
In exchange for the 51st overall pick, the Pats got Chicago's second round pick from next year's draft and pick number 105 in this year's draft.
The move, along with the earlier deal to move back from the 43rd pick, likely shows that Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and his front office staff aren't really seeing the value they had hoped to at this point in the draft.
It also could signal that the Pats brass belives they can get their man at the 63rd overall pick, unless they decide to deal that as well.
So far, it's been a very interesting night for the New England.
