A pricey piece of "Orange Is The New Black" memorabilia will benefit a New Bedford school.
Fans of the Netflix series "OITNB" have been bidding on a Litchfield DOC shirt autographed by the cast that star Taylor Schilling is herself selling to benefit a New Bedford school.
The bid is currently up to $3550.00, but there's still about six days for the price to go up.
Schilling's e-Bay auction says the shirt has been signed by Piper, Crazy Eyes, Red, Vause, Lorna, Taystee, Healy, Sophia, Pennsatucky, Cindy, Poussey, Nick, Flaca, Nicky & Gloria (including Chapman's official USDOJ DOC inmate ID;-).
She also adds that the money raised from the shirt will go to
benefit the school uniform fund at the Renaissance Innovation School Foundation in New Bedford, Massachusetts."
Schilling's father is on the governing board at the Renaissance Community School for the Arts.
The money from her memorabilia auction will buy school uniforms for struggling families right here in New Bedford.
