WWE’s Ethan Page Delivers Heartwarming Moment in New Bedford
From heel to hero, one WWE superstar left a lasting impression on the hearts of his fans in New Bedford this past weekend.
This story all began when WWE NXT North American Champion Ethan Page stopped by Cojo’s Toy World for a rare meet-and-greet, and lit up the faces on every fan who walked through the door.
I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not much of a wrestling guy. I know the classics (The Rock, Stone Cold, The Undertaker), but the new wave of WWE stars? I can’t keep up. Still, when Teddy Goodz and Cojo from Cojo’s Toy World offered me the chance to bring my cousin Tim to meet one of his favorite wrestlers, I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
A Fan’s Dream Day in Downtown New Bedford
Tim is a lifelong wrestling fan. He can rattle off trivia, stats and storylines going back decades, and unlike most fans, he sometimes cheers for the “heels," the name for the villains of the wrestling world. Ethan Page is one of those heels, a self-proclaimed “bad guy” from Canada. But when Tim finally got to meet him, it was clear there’s nothing villainous about him outside the ring.

When Tim found himself overwhelmed and struggling to find the right words, the only thing he could say was, “I’m sorry, I’m on the spectrum and my words aren’t coming to me right now.”
Without missing a beat, Ethan immediately made him feel like the most important person in the room. He engaged Tim in conversation, reassured him, and gave him his full attention.

From WWE Heel to Real-Life Hero
The moment that really got Tim was when Page looked at him and said, “It’s so nice to meet you, Tim.” For Tim, meeting Ethan Page was the dream, but realizing that he was just as excited to meet Tim was mind-blowing. On the ride home, he couldn’t stop smiling.
Making Every Fan Feel Valued
Page didn’t just sign an autograph and move on. He posed for photos, handed Tim a complimentary signed picture, and took the time to connect on a personal level. From the first fan in line to the last, everyone received the same kind of love and respect.
And believe me, the line was long.
Inside the ring, Ethan Page might be a heel, but in real life, he’s the kind of person who makes fans feel valued, seen, and appreciated. In a world where celebrity meet-and-greets can feel rushed and impersonal, Page reminded everyone in that store what true fan appreciation looks like.
Thank you, Ethan, for not only making New Bedford feel like the center of the wrestling universe, but for also giving my cousin a day he’ll never forget.
That alone speaks volumes.
