NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — New Bedford Police are investigating an incident of shots fired in the city’s North End early this morning.

Police confirmed to WBSM that at 1:10 a.m., units responded to Jireh Street for a report of shots fired.

They said shell casings were found in the street and that a home had sustained damage as a result.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.
